Playbooks Overview

Understanding playbooks — the central configuration unit in VayaFlow.

Playbooks

Playbooks are the core building block of VayaFlow. A playbook defines how contacts are routed, qualified, and delivered to a specific client and offer.

What is a Playbook?

A playbook ties together:

  • Client & Offer — Who receives the contacts and what they're for
  • Routing Rules — Conditions that determine which contacts match this playbook
  • Qualification Rules — Disqualification conditionals and AI-powered field validation
  • Delivery Endpoints — Where and how qualified contacts are sent
  • Delivery Settings — Caps, schedules, and throttling
  • First Submission Actions — Voice AI, SMS AI, human review, or webhook steps when contacts are first submitted
  • Revenue Milestones — Per-status payouts for tracking revenue

Playbook Lifecycle

  1. A contact is submitted to VayaFlow
  2. Routing rules are evaluated to find matching playbooks
  3. Contacts are qualified against each playbook's rules
  4. Pre-delivery actions (if configured) are executed
  5. Qualified contacts are delivered to the playbook's endpoints
  6. If delivery fails or the contact is rejected, fallback playbooks are tried
